Super Bowl 60 from Santa Clara between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks is less than a week away.
It is one of the biggest NFL betting days of the year.
Here are five easy Super Bowl bets to consider.
Against the Spread
As of Monday, the Seahawks are a 4.5-point favorite at the BetMGM online sportsbook. This means the Patriots are 4.5-point underdogs.
Underdogs have covered the spread in 14 of the last 18 Super Bowls. This would mean the Patriots would either win the game or lose by 4.5 points or less.
Betting against the spread is one of the most popular Super Bowl bets.
Over/Under
This is another easy and popular one.
As of Monday, the Over/Under is set at 45.5 points. This means taking the combined score of the two teams.
Specific to the Seahawks and Patriots, the Over has hit in each of the last seven meetings between the two teams.
Heads/Tails
Yes, you can bet on something before the game even starts.
It is just like it sounds; bettors select whether the coin toss will be heads or tails.
Over the last 10 Super Bowls, it has been an even split between heads and tails.
Anytime Touchdown Scorer
This one is simply betting on which player/players will score a touchdown at any point in the game.
It is worth noting that a passing touchdown counts only for the wide receiver and not for the quarterback.
As of Monday, here are the most bet players to score a touchdown: Jaxon Smith-Njigba (-115), Seattle defense/special teams (+400), Drake Maye (+270), Rhamondre Stevenson (+130) and Kenneth Walker III (-190).
In terms of payout, for example, if a bettor bet $100 on Smith-Nigba, they would win $186.96, including the $100 stake.
Super Bowl MVP
This market is for which player will win the game’s MVP award.
As of Monday, here are the top players in this market: Sam Darnold (+120), Drake Maye (+230), Jaxon Smith-Njiba (+500) and Kenneth Walker III (+700).
The odds are longer for this market since it is more difficult to predict.
