Online slots, like physical slots, are basically computer software programmed by human beings. That means issues can happen. We’ve found online slots to be more glitchy than the ones in casinos, and that can make some people nervous:
While I was playing an online slot, I hit the scatter for 10 free spins, before I got to play my spins it automatically gave me a message…
“Sorry there was an error while communicating with the operator server.”
I contacted online live chat. He said he was going to escalate it to operator support. I took a screenshot of the screen message and sent it to him. I have not heard back from anyone it’s been several hours, just wondering if this has happened to you, and what a fair outcome would be or am I SOL LOL

The good news is, like physical slots, online slots have a series of fail safes built into them as well. For instance, the first thing you can do when this happens is just try reloading the slot. The vast majority of the time, the game will pick up right where it left off – just like when a physical machine reboots.
On the rare occasion that the game can’t recover and resume where it left off, the session where that bonus was triggered will have a time limit to complete. If it doesn’t get resumed, the server will complete the session and will award the amount won back to the account that had opened the session.
In the absolute worst case scenario, the “malfunctions void all pays and plays” language would kick in, and at the minimum you’d be refunded what you wagered on the session that malfunctioned.
But among those of us who have played online, we can’t think of a scenario where the malfunction scenario even was reached. In most cases the game just picked back up when we reopened it, and in a couple of cases when that didn’t work, we saw a balance adjustment a day or two later that reflected the total winnings from the bonus.
So we hope that ultimately is the same outcome for you, and thank you for the question!
