My nearly decade long journey posting slot videos has led to a lot of firsts. One of those was the launch of the Brian Christopher Slots area at Plaza. After a successful run as a part of the main casino floor, a separate smokefree space was built and opened two years ago!
Even with it being that long ago, we’re still getting the word out:
What is the Brian Christopher area in these casinos? Can you explain?
Samantha L.
Our partnership with Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where the Brian Christopher Slots area was located, indicates a few things. First, the games located in the room were hand-picked by me. I’d generate a list of games I’d love to see, and based on various criteria, we’d work with them to whittle the list down to what we could support in the space.
Slots are a complicated business – some games are leased while others are bought, games appear on specific slot hardware, and so on. But ultimately we work with Plaza to curate a line-up full of games I love and play regularly.
A Brian Christopher Slots area also means the space is fully smokefree and with dedicated ventilation to ensure smoky air isn’t mixing with the clean air in the space. Many casinos designate so-called “non-smoking” areas but they sit right next to smoking areas with no division. Third-party research has confirmed in those situations the air quality in the non-smoking areas is quite poor, no surprise given the lack of separation.
It also tends to mean you’re likely to run into other BCSlots fans while you’re there, given the nearly 2 million followers across various accounts and 8 million people who watch my videos each month. In particular, I regularly hosted events in my space, including Meet & Greets and Group Pulls, which allow you to come say hi and meet others in the community, including members of my fan club, The Rudies.
So that’s the general idea behind my space, and when you see that indicator at a casino, what that means for you as a player! It’s my commitment to offer a high-quality environment for both me and others to enjoy.
