Whether you’re missing the sights and sounds of the sea or are hoping to reel in a big win, 4 Fantastic Lobsters might have just the catch for you! Before you take this dynamic 4thePlayer title for a spin, check out the basics of the game below so you know what to hope for. Happy fishing!
Base Game
4 Fantastic Lobsters is a six reel game that pays left to right when matching symbols drop into place. You can choose to take this game for a spin at a variety of bet sizes. In the demo I played, options ranged from 20 cents up to $20.
As far as line hits are concerned, keep your eyes out for the captain of the ship. He is your highest paying symbol, followed by the seagull, starfish, lobster trap, buoy, and the standard royal symbols A through 10. To help line things up, there are wilds in play that substitute for all symbols, with the exception of the golden lobster and lobster trap icons that we’ll cover below.
Random features can help players out too! Two to watch out for, both in the base game and the bonus, are the Giant Squid and the Cash Crab – they behave differently based on the part of the slot you’re in.
Money Ways
4 Fantastic Lobsters incorporates “Money Ways” during all spins. When you are able to land three or more Money Ways Lobster Symbols on consecutive reels, you win the cash prizes that are shown directly on the symbol. Like with most games that feature a similar mechanic, the prize values increase as you work your way out to the right most reels. While Lobster Prizes in reel one are only up 1x your bet, that sixth reel features wins worth 20-100x and even some jackpots!
After any base game spin, a giant squid can appear, rearranging the placement of lobster symbols to create or improve a Money Ways win. The Crab Cash feature can also send a crab scuttling through the field, creating or improving lobster Money Ways wins.
As for those jackpots? There are four Giant Lobster prizes that can be won one of two ways. You can land the “Big,” “Super,” “Mega,” or “Ultra” in both the base game and Pick-A-Win Bonus. The Big Giant Lobster prize is worth 50x your base bet, Super is 200x, Mega a 1,000x, and the Ultra is an impressive 10,000x.
If you’re used to playing fish games online that only unlock the money shown during the bonuses, this is a great game that makes them available on any spin!
Pick-A-Win Bonus
The Pick-A-Win Bonus is triggered when at least three of the lobster trap scatters appear on the reels. You can land up to six of the scatter symbols, each of which that lands awarding its own pick.
Bonus amounts range between 5X your base bet and max out at a cool 10,000x, matching the Ultra Giant Lobster Prize as the top award.
Respin Bonus
When at least three of the golden lobsters lock into place you are headed to the Respin Bonus! During this bonus feature you start with three spins and every time you land a credit, the spins reset to 3. You only begin the bonus with the number of reels you unlocked. Each golden lobster unlocks its own reel. If you triggered the bonus with three of them, you start with three reels. You can unlock more reels by landing additional golden lobsters.
After any spin of the bonus, a squid can appear at the bottom of the screen to cause some good chaos. The giant squid can move lobster symbols from locked reels into unlocked ones. In our case, the squid moved a credit tile over to the left to completely fill up the column.
When a column is filled, a shark appears and eats all the credit values while also doubling them. In our case, when he was done chowing down, our tiny credits in the first reel were transformed into one $39.60 tile. This opened spots on our board back up and we started the process again with another three spins.
The random features also occur in the Respin Bonus, but help in new ways. The squid can also appear during the base game, but in this case it will move lobsters that land in a locked reel into a space in an unlocked reel. The Crab Cash Prizes can lock prizes on open reels to keep the bonus going.
Buy a Bonus
On sites that have this feature enabled, you can also buy a bonus. There are three options available:
- Crab Cash Feature
- Pick-a-Win Bonus
- Respin Bonus
Each has its own cost relative to the bet level selected, so you can opt for a smaller 30x attempt with the Crab Cash Feature, up to 75x for the Respin Bonus, and finally 150x for the Pick-a-Win Bonus.
