NetEnt is no stranger to providing fun games using the Megaways format, and Divine Fortune Megaways falls into that category.
Based on their Divine Fortune slot, Divine Fortune Megaways throws in a few wrinkles of its own, though, which can make it a fun change-up for those who tend to be fan of Megaways games. So let’s take a look at the game and what you can expect.
Base Game
For those unfamiliar with Megaways, it’s the format where each spin each of the six reels can change between 2 and 7 spaces tall. The game is an all ways pays format without lines. This can yield a top potential number of ways when all reels are 7 spaces tall of 117,629 ways to win.
One big departure from the standard format is that the symbols do not disappear in a cascading reels format. Whatever you win is what you win.
Falling Wild Respins
Instead, there’s a wild symbol component that gives you respins. When a wild symbol appears, it will move down one space on the reel each spin. You then get one last spin after the last wild leaves the reels.
Should another wild land at any point, leaving wilds to keep moving, the respins continue. Should the wild land on the same space a wild already exists, however, all the spaces in the reel goes wild, and then the respins continue as normal.
Free Spins
Getting free spins is a bit tougher on many six-reel Megaways format games, and Divine Fortune is no exception. You need at least four bonus symbols to trigger the free spins, but you can get more if you manage even more symbols:
- 4 bonus symbols: 10 free spins
- 5 bonus symbols: 15 free spins
- 6 bonus symbols: 20 free spins
During the free spins, the falling wild respins occurs with a special wrinkle – every reel space automatically goes fully wild when a wild lands, unlike the base game, where a wild has to land on top of another wild to make that happen. This can help the bonus endure for awhile!
The bonus also adds an additional element, called bonus wins. You collect bronze, silver and gold medallions, and if you collect five of any level you get the following:
- 5 bronze medals: 10x your bet amount
- 5 silver medals: 25x your bet amount
- 5 gold medals: 500x your bet amount
Getting a lot of respins can therefore help because it can increase your chances of collecting enough medals to achieve one or more bonus wins.
