If you’re looking for the feel of a familiar favorite with a little bit of something new, Scorchin’ Hot Spins Wicked Wheel might just be the game for you!
Scorchin’ Hot Spins Wicked Wheel looks and plays very similarly to Smokin’ Hot Stuff Wicked you might find in the casino, with one big difference; no Hot Stuff character. Instead of the playful devil, the game’s featured character is a red, presumably scorching, pepper. The visual and mechanical similarities between the games makes sense, as both are created by Everi and both feature “Wicked Wheel” in their respective titles.
Read on below to see what matches up between the two and what is a little different before taking it on for your own.
Base Game
We took Scorchin’ Hot Spins Wicked Wheel for a spin at a $4 bet on 5 cent denomination, the game is also available in penny and two cent options. On nickels, $4 is the starting bet while you can choose to increase your wager all the way up to a max bet of $16 per spin. Like The Wicked Wheel title you may be familiar with, Scorchin features two bonus options and some of the best linepays out there thanks to high paying symbols and wilds.
We will cover the bonus action below, but when it comes to line hits, you can hit it big when the scorchin’ wilds fall into place, especially when next to a Diamond or Red Seven. These wild symbols can drop in on rows two, three, and four.
In some cases, the ones you’re hoping for, wilds will not only drop in on multiple rows, but with a multiplier attached as well. The multipliers can range from from 2x up to 4x, meaning you could potentially score a line hit up to 64x. That is nothing to scoff off, especially because five of a kind Diamonds pay 1,000 credits.
As an added bonus, each time you land one of these wild peppers, coins are shot up to the pot at the top of the screen. Every time coins are sent that way, there is a chance the accumulator will go off and you can play the picking bonus.
Progressive Picking Bonus
During the picking bonus you will be presented with 21 golden coins and asked to start making selections by clicking on coins of your choosing. You will continue to make picks until you match three coins that correspond to one of the progressives shown at the top of your screen.
While making your picks you might discover a hot sauce bottle. When revealed, the hot sauce bottle removes the lowest available progressive. If you find one hot sauce bottle you eliminate the mini, two also removes the minor, and if you manage to find the third bottle, the major is vanquished.
Despite the large number of coins, your picking does not influence the outcome – it’s a predetermined bonus.
Wicked Wheel Bonus Feature
While the progressive picking bonus does count as a bonus, chances are if you’ve played Wicked Wheel, you prefer the Wicked Wheel bonus feature and all the animations that come along with it. Like with the OG, while playing Scorchin’ Hot Spins Wicked Wheel, you’re looking for three of the “Wicked Wheel” symbols to lock into place on reels three, four, and five.
Once three wheels land, the Wicked Wheel bonus is triggered. You will spin the bonus for a chance to win a variety of credits ranging from 5x to 375x your total bet. The wheel also offers another opportunity to snag one of the progressive jackpots. Unlike the progressive picking bonus, there is a small caveat to this bonus when it comes to the listed jackpots, as only three of the six are available during any given Wicked Wheel Bonus.
Before you press spin, the title character appears and flies around the wheel. While they are flying, they are throwing out multipliers that can increase the credits by 2x, 3x, 4x 5x, and 10x. There is a chance that the character can also increase your spin result by nudging the wheel in the direction of a higher credit slice or increasing a corresponding multiplier (Note: this does not apply to progressives).
