The game is a 40-line slot with a 5×4 reel set. The lowest bet possible is a surprisingly low 10 cents per spin, and like many Light & Wonder slots features a lot of bet choices, moreso than you’d find in a physical casino.
The reels feature four cookie lower paying symbols, four medium paying people symbols and the top symbol, the Squid Game logo. There’s also wilds and bonus symbols on the reels.
Bonus symbols only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. There are multiple different bonuses that can be awarded, with the one awarded signified by a flipping coin on the fifth reel to reveal the bonus you will be playing.
Red Light Green Light Bonus
Here, your goal is to complete 24 total steps to awarded a jackpot picking. Each time you have the ability to choose to take 1, 2, 3 or 4 steps. Taking more steps is more risky, but also can award a bigger multiplier of your bet as the prize for success. The prize ranges for each step choice when completed successfully are:
- 1 step: 1x-10x
- 2 steps: 2x-20x
- 3 steps: 3x-50x
- 4 steps: 4x-100x
Like in the show, you’re hoping to take steps forward during the green light. If you are caught moving during the red light, your bonus will end. Higher steps means higher rewards but a greater risk of death (the pay table words it exactly that way – gotta love it).
When the bonus ends, any multipliers collected before death or reaching the end of the path will be awarded. If you complete all 24 steps, four fixed jackpot amounts are on offer (Mini, Minor, Major and Grand), and you pick until you match three of a like jackpot.
Glass Bridge Bonus
This is a free spins bonus that starts with a series of upgrade opportunities on the glass bridge. Upgrade possibilities include:

- Wild upgrades – there are three types, with each upgrade awarded stepping up to the next level:
- Level 1 – Falling wild: any wild that lands into view moves one space down the board each spin until extinction

Up to 18 steps can be taken in this phase, each awarding an upgrade. When you crash through the glass, the upgrade portion concludes and the free spins begin.
Tug of War Bonus
A wild reel is present for each spin, being tugged left or right each spin. It can be tugged multiple times, revealing multiple wild reels for that spin. The bonus continues until the wild reels is tugged off the far left or far right side of the reels, sending a team tumbling.
For a final spin, the team that tumbles can place between 3 and 10 wilds on the reels, offering one more chance for a win before the bonus concludes.
