The Green Machine series has always been a bit different – you weren’t lining up reels so much as landing prizes on the original series. Here, there’s a similar concept, but The Green Machine Bingo layers in the need to complete a line – in this case just like playing Bingo – to be awarded prizes.
The addition of a wheel and a bonus adds some additional color as well, and keeps the series feeling different than anything else on the casino floor. Here’s more about the game, and where you can play it online for cash!
The Green Machine Bingo Base Game
The Green Machine Bingo is an unusual game relative to more traditional slots. There’s a 5×5 reel set with each space being independent, and the middle space blocked with a star as a wild space, just like in any Bingo scenario, and holds a special significance when making bingos too (more on that in a moment).
Each spin, orbs can land in any of the 24 open spaces, showcasing either a multiplier that relates to a multiple of your overall bet, or a Mini or Minor jackpot. They lock in their places, initially for three spins, similar to a Hold & Spin style scenario. If another orb lands in the same row or column as a previously locked orb, it will reset to three spins.
The goal is to get Bingos – five of a kinds collect all of the orbs in a row, column or diagonal. The prizes on those orbs are awarded, and then those orbs unlock and spin away on the next spin. When you are one away, the empty space will acquire a border to confirm filling that space on the next spin will award the line.
Like many Light & Wonder games, the bet ranges are more granular and broader than what you’ll find in the casino. You can play The Green Machine Bingo for as low as 20 cents, and there are more bet increments as you work up the betting options.
One thing to note is because of the unique format of this game, where you need to get spaces filled before running out chances, the progress is locked to your bet amount. So if you change bets, that progress will remain on the previous bet, which you can choose to come back to later. This is identical to how this game works in the casino.
The four jackpots here are flat and change proportionally with bet.
Instant Win Feature
An Instant Win border can appear around a space on the reels, instantly awarding an orb, whether a multiple of your bet or a Mini or Minor jackpot. Given that lines can be tough to get at times, this can help award smaller wins in between.
Super Bingo
When you secure a bingo that includes the center star space, that’s a Super Bingo, and triggers a spin of the wheel. The prizes vary and include:
- Credit Prize: Win 25x, 75x or 100x on top of your Bingo prizes
- Double the Win: Double the prizes awarded on the Bingo
- Award All: Award all orbs locked on the reels
- Jackpot: Win the Mini, Minor, Major or Grand
- Bonus: Get awarded the bonus
Bonus
If you are awarded the bonus in the wheel spin, the Bonus is a variation on a hold and spin. You start with three spins to collect at least five spaces out of 25 (the wild is removed for the Bonus). Getting at least 5 within the three spins resets the spin counter back to 3, and awards a Bingo (even if it’s not on a line). The prize awarded each time this occurs increases:
- 1st Bingo: 2x your bet per orb
- 2nd Bingo: 3x your bet per orb
- 3rd Bingo: 4x your bet per orb
- 4th Bingo: 5x your bet per orb
- 5th Bingo: 10x your bet per orb
The bonus concludes when either the board is full or there are no more spins remaining. Any orbs not linked to a bingo above are awarded at 1x your bet.
