We’ve advised players to be careful not to hit and run when it comes to their free play. A player wonders how that could be so:
How does using your free play and leaving ruin it? My free play is always the same and I’ve used it before and got a bonus on 1st spin that paid $368 and I left, didn’t seem to ruin anything.

Casino offers are based on your expectation to come back and play again at a similar level to what you played before. If you play at a different level to your normal, that’s a red flag to the casino – the incentive they’re using to bring you in isn’t generating the level of business they expect.
When you use your free play and leave either immediately or shortly thereafter, you’re not playing at a level they’re used to seeing. Doing it once may not impact some casinos, but there are those that are more aggressively against this and will lower your offers to reflect this (or even disable them until you visit a players desk to chastise you).
There are other considerations. Some casinos set up their offers farther out than others, which means impacts from changes in play can take weeks, and oftentimes months, to show up in your casino offer. So you might not see any changes for awhile, and then out of the blue a couple of months from now your offer can slip.
If you go monthly and do this, your impacts will likely be more dramatic than if you go three times a week. If your casino is more aggressive about this, you’ll see more of an impact that one that’ll let an occasional instance of it slide. Or your average didn’t change enough in one instance of this happening to show up as a shift in your offer.
At the end of the day, you earned your offer based on previous play, so you can use it how you wish. But many players want to minimize the risk of losing their offer, so we share this advice not to say you should or shouldn’t do it, but to be aware of how offers can be impacted by a lack of play. If you want to cash out with a win and not put any more play in, that’s your option. If your local casino doesn’t like that and changes your offers around to reflect that, that’s theirs.
