In bigger casino markets, a time-honored tradition is that of the casino hop – bouncing around among casinos throughout a day. Sometimes, it’s a matter of walking down a section of Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. Other times it’s hopping into a car and bouncing around in an area.

We asked players on our Flip The Switch Facebook page as well as Brian Christopher’s YouTube page what their record was for the number of casinos they hit up in a day. Here’s some of the answers they shared:
- All the casinos in Atlantic City (currently 9, previously up to 12). Usually celebrating a family birthday. Ursula W.
- Granddaughter 21st birthday to many to remember due to indulging in colorful umbrella drinks 🍹 lol I think at least 10. Dianna W.
- I visit all of the Casinos Downtown Vegas. I love Love it! Sharon B.
- Taking the tram up and down the Boardwalk in AC, I lost count. Helen C.
- Drove from Massachusetts to Death Valley, we pretty much planned the trip around Casinos along the way. So much fun!! Jill S.
- Maybe 10 while in Las Vegas. But driving home from visiting family I stopped at every casino along the way ( there are a lot of Ho Chunk casinos in Wisc! ) After about 450 miles I had visited 7 casinos. I just took $40 in so I wouldn’t stay long. Ended up paying for my trip. Chris G.
- 4 had free rooms in CT. So did both. And on the way home got one in ri and then mass that were on the drive home. Laura S.
- Every casino on Fremont Street each time I’m there! Patti K.
- Blackhawk Colorado, 3-4 casinos in one day for our 30th wedding anniversary trip. LaCrisha H.
- I think about 3 and the furthest one was 4 hours away from home. I used to have a friend that we would do day trips to celebrate birthdays and we just kept driving one time and ended up 4 hours away from home, not intentionally. I think even when we’re in Vegas, we still only actually gamble at 3 in a day because we have other things on our agenda. Karen S.
- Besides the Vegas strip and downtown… We hit around 10-11 casinos in one day on a birthday casino road trip from Kansas through Oklahoma and back. We left at the crack of dawn and were back late night. We went to any along our path…small gas station ones, small one-rooms, mid-size, and the largest destination ones. Some we stayed at 15-30 min and others up to an hour or two. So much fun! Heather S.
- Just about every Thursday , the wife and I would start out at MGM Northfield, take 71 south to Hollywood Casino Columbus, leave there and take 70 east to Wheeling Island, and then finally hop up Rt. 7 to Mountaineer racetrack and casino in Newell, WV. Depending on how well we were doing, it would take between 24-36 hours and we were always exhausted upon arriving home. Mike B.
- Deadwood South Dakota, hit up all the casinos in one day after going to Sturgis. Christine F.
- Four in a day when celebrating a birthday. Actually, sometimes it’s 5-6 because we occasionally stop at 2 on the road while traveling to our destination. Then we start over the next day because new comps and free slot play starts back. We stay 3-6 days. Always going at the last day to get free slot play so that we’re there to collect freebies when new timing starts the next day. Teresa B.
- 6 we were in Biloxi and always rented a car and one day would drive to Bay St Louis, Mississippi and visit Hollywood casino and Silver Slipper casino and stop at the ones in between. Tina D.
- Excalibur, Luxor, Plaza, Fountianbleu, Fremont, Binions, The D. My wife’s Birthday last week. But I stay at the Plaza each year and usually go to most of the casinos on Fremont, so probably more. Bryan R.
- We had a Pub Crawl one night so many pokies (Slots) at every venue. We did end up at the Casino as Pubs shut at 4am. An expensive night to say the least. Justin R.
- Three, it was my birthday and I wanted all the gifts lol Annette L.
- 7. My sister was visiting from Tampa (they have 1). Jenny L.
- 6 it was on a casino hopping tour. Joyce O.
- 4 or 5 in Reno. So close together. Karen M.
- 3, and all were an hour apart from each other. MGM/Hollywood/Rocky Gap. Wayne D.
