It seems like new casinos are opening regularly – that’s because they are, and even with so many places to gamble already in the U.S., the expansion continues.
So how do players feel about new casinos? Do they race there right away, or do they let things settle in first? We asked on our Flip The Switch Facebook page, and here’s some of the responses we received:
- I always wait until about a month after opening so that the crowds have died down a little and bugs are worked out. Mindy G.
- Just like a new grocery store, I’d wait til the hype dies down. Angela C.
- I’m playing if I can find a game to play. Jimmy T.
- Let the hype die down. Less peopling. Therese B.
- Done both ways and discovered it is nice to wait. Cliff J.
- Wait for quieter times …my personal experience is to play at night or when it’s not busy…it’s not that my luck is better, it’s just that I have better access to every machine, not the ones that are just available (during busy times). Mark A.
- I’m all for the pomp and circumstance. Bring it on! 🥳 Steve T.
- I prefer to wait. Usually due to to location. The closest I came was being in Vegas the week after Treasure Island opened. That did become our main hotel for years so I guess we were impressed. Ursula W.
- Definitely waiting for the calm. Of course everyone wins the 1st few weeks. April D.
- When Peterborough opened in 2018 I was there for the opening ceremony. Brian L.
- Wait for quieter times. When Live! MD opened, it was a zoo. Too many people showed up. Even people who had tickets got turned away at the door, due to over capacity. The whole area was a traffic nightmare. Helen C.
