Casinos offer a lot of options to players nowadays, and as such certain benefits will draw in different types of players. We asked readers on our Flip The Switch Facebook page what amenities they found most important, and we received a variety of responses. Here’s some of the answers players shared:
Cleanliness
Would you put this at the top of your list? Players do pay attention to how well a casino keeps up with keeping things clean, and will knock those that fail down a peg. But the request for cleanliness comes in a lot of shapes and sizes, too!
- Buffets with sneeze/germ guards and only employees on the line can dip and serve. Kaiki J.
- Clean bathrooms. For some reason men can’t hit the dang urinal. Wayne D.
- Easy, peasy. Cleanliness is a must. Good or great restaurants are a major plus to use your perks on. A lot of places seem to have gotten away from the great buffets we used to have pre-covid. Bring those back, I might never leave. Jack C.
- Cleanliness, shops, free play, and fun. Angela D.
Game Selection
If casinos aren’t keeping the game selection fresh, players notice that quite a bit as well.
- Wide range of machines, venues for different kinds of dining. Enough spaces between machines. Changing machines up/getting new machines. We used to stay at Rio in Vegas all the time, but switched to properties directly on the Strip. Many years later we visited Rio…and so many of the same slots were in exactly the same place. It felt old. Helen C.
- Cleanliness, free drinks with play, and having enough of the popular slots to go around. Topaze A.
Free Beverages (and Good Coffee)
Interestingly, it wasn’t necessarily free alcoholic beverages that players chimed in on – we see that a lot in our chats during live streams – but coffee sure did come up a few times…
- Free drinks. Either a different stations of different drinks. Or service. Good coffee service stations or service. Been to places where the coffee was soo bitter or too strong. Tea and hot water at those stations too. Water down coffee with hot water. Bonny B.
- Coffee. Good coffee. An occasional interesting give away. Ann B.
- Free drinks, coffee etc, cleanest bathrooms, no smoking, not even the smell, sanitiser and kleenex, good quality hand wash foam and lotion because my hands are busy hands when I’m there. Archana K.
- Self serve coffee and soft drinks. Karen K.
- Need to have restrooms, free beverages. I’d love to see pretzels/chips/popcorn too. Wouldn’t it be nice if the casino just handed out stacks of cash, like door prizes but for every visitor. Jill P.
