Besides the gambling, the best thing to do in Las Vegas, at least in my opinion, is to eat! Depending on your mood, there are tons of options in just the Downtown area alone to satiate any craving. From gourmet steaks to crave worthy classics, if you know the spots, there is something for everyone and every occasion.
5 Great Food Choices in Downtown Las Vegas
Before hitting the town on your next adventure, read below to learn some of my favorite spots and leave yours in the comments!
Chicago Brewing Co.
If you are a lover of either chicken tenders or craft beer, preferably both, you need to go to Chicago Brewing Co.! Located inside Four Queens, Chicago Brewing Co. is one of my all time favorite places to eat on Fremont Street. Back in the day, I would stop by after work with friends and we’d often run into even more people we knew. This is partly because of the delicious menu and partly because of the relaxed lounge atmosphere. One friend and I made a habit of heading over to play some “Caveman Keno” while eating chicken fingers and some potato skins.
Don’t worry if craft beer isn’t your thing. While I practically worship their buffalo chicken tenders (#TeamBlueCheese), I’m not much of a beer drinker. Instead of trying out some of their beer options, I opt to order a few classes of their own craft root beer. Take a look at their offerings here.
Nacho Daddy
Located just off of actual Fremont Street is one of Vegas’ Nacho Daddy locations. Nacho Daddy, as the name suggests, serves salads a variety of nachos. When I say “variety,” I need you to understand the sheer number of options available. There are multiple pages of nacho offerings. These are not your normal nachos, these are offerings like “Thai Chicken Nacho,” “Surf & Turf Nacho,” and “Filet Birria Nacho.”
As a self described “trash panda” when it comes to my diet, Nacho Daddy is right up my alley. My usual order is more on the casual side; after a day of Fremont mischief, I gravitate toward the familiar: “Cheeseburger Nacho” or the “Supreme Tostada Nacho.” Nacho Daddy also offers up a variety of tacos, burritos, fajitas, and quesadillas. Click here for their menu.
Menu aside, this is a great option for groups to meet up and enjoy a casual meal while taking advantage of the prime people watching on their outdoor patio. Plus, this is a prime spot for a margarita or two.
Park on Fremont
If an outdoor option with full meals is what you’re after, I recommend Park on Fremont! This is a standalone establishment, not connected to a casino, that features a variety of American style appetizers and a wide variety of gourmet burgers plus an impressive weekend brunch lineup. I recommend their “Park Fries,” an elevated take on loaded cheese fries, and any of their burgers, although I always get the same one: the “Park” burger. See the full menu here.
Park on Fremont has a happy hour! Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays you can make the most of their happy hour menu from 5PM-7PM. Fear not, happy hour is also available on the weekends, from 4PM-6PM.
Note: While I can’t confirm it online, Park on Fremont used to offer visitors the opportunity to write a postcard to a friend and they would mail it out for you. I really enjoyed filling these out and sending them off to my parents when we lived in different parts of the country. If you check it out, report back and let us know if they still offer up this special touch.
Rebar & Davy’s
This is a two for one! In keeping with presenting a variety of atmospheres and experiences on this list, this is a more traditional “dive bar” option. Rebar and Davy’s are sister properties that offer the same food and access to their shared outdoor patio that is hands down one of my absolute favorite places to hang out. I love the no frills, take it as it is approach and the more local clientele that circles up after work or on the weekends. Their patio has a bunch of old signs, murals, and even an old telephone booth. When the weather is just right, you could really spend a few hours just relaxing there.
This is a spot to check out if you want to settle down with a crew, contemplate buying a piece of the decor, and eating some bar staple food with a twist. When I say this place covers all my main food groups, I’m not kidding. They have nachos, pizzas, cheeseburgers, chicken wings, and even an “elote dog.” Check out their menu and start making your dream order.
Bonus: Rebar and Davy’s also have a few tables out front to take in all the sights and sounds of the Arts District. My friends and I love to sit in the sunshine while watching all the action. Koolsville is a popular spot next door that offers $10 flash sheet tattoo options. The line is always long and you’ll see all sorts of humans coming and going.
Pizza Rock
There are tons of places in the Downtown area to grab a slice of pie. For this list, I’m giving my pizza spot to my first Vegas pizza love, Pizza Rock. While there are two locations that can be found around The Valley, I am specifically talking about the location located across from Downtown Grand. Pizza Rock offers a variety of pizza options ranging from deep dish to calzones.
If you know me, you know that I really enjoy planning ahead which means I also have an unhealthy level of appreciation towards reservations. I love not having to worry about lines and instead just pop online a little before I want to eat to snag a table. My friends and I would go there after work and it is still a standard option when I come back to town. Our go to order is still the “fried ‘green’ tomato caprese” plus one of their “grandma” style pizzas and at least one order of their “honey pancetta Italian fries. See Pizza Rock’s menu here.
Takeaway
Downtown Las Vegas has an array of great food options, something I got to know during my time working downtown. Do you have a favorite? Share with me in the comments!

Victory Burger at Circa. They’re the opposite of Nacho Daddy in that they only have a (comparatively) limited number of burger, sandwich, and salad options, but every one is exceptionally good. Being able to watch the giant wall of TVs in the sportsbook while munching on greatness is an added bonus!!
Victory Burger is a great recommendation. We’ve had it a few times!
