Looking for a game that features the best of both worlds? Consider Ainsworth’s Action Dragons. This online title (coming from the physical slot world), featuring ferocious wild dragons, offers you the chance to not only score big line hits, but the chance to cash in on lucrative bonus free games.
Before you decide to take on the Action Dragons for yourself, we’ve rounded up the basic rules of play and what to hope for once you do decide to try your luck.
Base Game
Action Dragons offers a wide bet range which can make it appealing to a wide variety of players. You can choose to try your luck starting at $1.20 a spin, while the max bet sits at $48 per spin.
The 30 line game features a five reel design that pays left to right when corresponding symbols line up. Like with a majority of slots, Action Dragons provides smaller payouts for the royal 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols. The game reserves the more exciting wins for six premium symbols of their own. While playing, look out for these unique symbols: the Scatter symbol pays the most followed by the orange and blue yin-yang. More on the Scatter below.
In addition to the standard symbols and scatter, Action Dragons offers you the chance to score juicy line hits thanks to the wild dragon. During the base game, the wild dragon can appear on reels 2, 3, and 4. The wild dragon can fill an entire reel and appear in more than one, leading to those big wins if things land just right.
Free Games
And, back to the Scatters! While playing, you are hoping for at least three of the jade colored coins marked “Action Dragons” to drop into place. These Scatter symbols can appear anywhere on the reels and will trigger the free games bonus. Three coins earns you 10 free games. Plus, the more Scatter coins that land, the bigger the payout. If you are betting $4.80 a spin and land five “Action Dragons” coins, you would win $120 before even starting your spins.
During the free games, there is a chance to kick up the action even farther! If you land a jade coin in the first and last reel, you get to take three bonus spins with a locked-in wild dragon. These bonus spins are in addition to the initial trigger amount. As if the extra spins weren’t good enough, the wild dragon takes up the entire third reel and bestows an increasing multiplier after each spin. The first bonus spin offers up a 2x wild multiplier, this multiplier increases to 3x for the second spin, and 5x for the third and final bonus spin. You can trigger these additional spins more than once during a bonus so keep those fingers crossed for a lot of jade coins!
