The Fire Link series has been delighting players for going on a decade now, and with each new family of games there’s some sort of new wrinkle that updates things without veering too far from what makes it special. Golden Fire Link Dragon Song continues in that tradition, adding spinners with multiple prize possibilities into the mix.

Golden Fire Link Dragon Song Base Game
Golden Fire Link Dragon Song features 50 pay lines across a 5×4 reel set. The game features bets as low as 20 cents a spin, a really accessible option for those with smaller bankrolls. Bet increments also increase slowly, offering more granularity, and many more bet levels, than you’ll find in a casino.
Along with the poker and premium symbols are stacked wild symbols that can help the line hits come out, bonus symbols that reside only on the middle three reels, and fireballs, which include those with credit prizes and those with jackpots on them. There’s also a new variation, spinners, which rotate through a series of prizes. When awarded, those are revealed at the end of the bonus, adding some suspense until you reach the finish line.
Like every variation of Fire Link there’s four jackpots; here they’re flat prizes that shift based on bet. So your odds of winning them remain the same regardless of bet. This differs from the version in casinos where the top two prizes are progressives.
Golden Fire Link Feature
Four or more fireballs (including spinners and progressive fireballs) in the base game will trigger the Golden Fire Link Feature.
The traditional Fire Link feature format is followed here. Initially, the bottom four rows are unlocked. Additional rows unlock when you reach 8, 12, 16 and 20 fire balls on the unlocked rows. However, there’s also now a giant spinner, which is atop the normal reels, and is unlocked if you reach 24 fireballs on the unlocked rows.
Your traditional hold and spin format otherwise follows here – you get three spins to land another fireball in an unlocked row to reset the counter. Get all spaces filled, or go three spins without landing another, and the bonus is complete.
Mini and Minor fireballs are available on the trigger, with Major and Mega available within the Golden Fire Link feature and only within that feature. The spinner at the top has prizes of 10x to 100x, as well as the Major and Mega prizes.
Free Spins
The Free Spins are triggered when the bonus symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. 8 free spins are awarded.
Initially, like in the Golden Fire Link feature, only the bottom four rows are unlocked. Whenever an Unlock Row symbol appears, it opens up the next level. All fireballs are paid out during the bonus, as well as any line hits for the unlocked lines. Only the Mini and Minor are available in the Free Spins.
Each row unlocked adds 20 lines, with the entire reel set being 130 lines in play if you open everything up to the top.
No retriggers are possible, so once the eight spins are complete, the bonus concludes and the total amount won is awarded. You also can’t trigger the Golden Fire Link bonus during the free spins.
