AGS takes a page out of the more traditional slot book with Mega Diamond Wild Stacks, an extension of their popular Mega Diamond slot. In this title, you have the chance to score nice linehits and juicy progressive jackpots. While there isn’t a flashy bonus, the game does offer up some fiery multipliers.
Base Game
Mega Diamond Wild Stacks is a nine line game that only includes a handful of symbols. In this game, which pays left to right, you’re hoping for “sevens,” especially the red flaming ones. The red flaming sevens are the top symbol, offering up 50 credits for three on one of those nine paylines. The red fiery seven is followed by a solid black option for 30 credits, and three of the white sevens will give you 20 credits.
Like most titles that rely predominantly on sevens, even if you land a mix of the three different colors, that will pay 10. The different color variations are followed by the standard “Bar” symbols. Three matching double bars is worth five credits, matching single bars are worth four, and any combination of three bars is worth three credits.
Line hits do get some help in Mega Diamond Wild Stacks thanks to… the wilds! If “wild stacks” is in the name, you’re going to expect a lot of substitution activity… and presumably in groups. In Mega Diamond Wild Stacks there are technically three different wild symbols that often slide down in stacks.
When a Red, Blue, or Purple “Mega Diamond” lands, it can substitute for all other symbols with the exception of a different colored Mega Diamond. Those wild symbols also play double duty for the Jackpot Feature which we’ll cover next.
Jackpot Feature
If you’ve played a more traditional feeling slot title before, you probably have an understanding that when three of the different colored “Mega Diamonds” make an appearance on the same payline, something good is about to happen.
These Mega Diamonds are the keys to the progressives at the top of your screen. Three of the red Mega Diamonds on any active payline will award the highest available jackpot. Next up is blue, three of the matching blue diamonds will bestow the second tier jackpot and three purple diamonds will grant you the third tier jackpot.
Just like the sevens and bars, there is a consolation prize of sorts for a mix of the three. Any combination of three diamonds (not including a match of three) will result in the fourth tier jackpot.
Multiplier Feature
The last trick Mega Diamond Wild Stacks has up its sleeve is the multiplier feature. During any spin, a fire ball can appear on a variety of symbols. When this fireball and its accompanying symbol land in a paying line, the linehit is multiplied by the number on the fireball. The fireballs range in size, coming in 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x.
Not all multipliers are available on all reels and symbols.
- 2X: Available on the red and white sevens
- 3X: Can appear on the black seven, double bar, and single bar
- 4X: Available on black seven, double bar, and single bar
- 5X: can appear on the red seven, white seven, double bar, and single bar
