DJ, bump that beat! Today we’re taking a look at Bragg Studio’s Pumped Up, a lively beach party themed game all about having fun under the sun while jamming to your favorite club hits.
Before you decide to take on Pumped Up, read on below to learn what to be on the look out for including unicorn wilds and multipliers!
Base Game
Pumped Up offers bets ranging from 20 cents all the way up to $100 per spin. The game features a five by five design that pays out not by line, but by clusters. If five or more matching symbols form a cluster, touching on at least one side, that is a win. The cluster of matching symbols will be removed and any symbols that were above the cluster will slide down to fill the board. The resulting empty spaces at the top of the board will be filled with new symbols that “fall” from the top.
There are three category tiers that the symbols fall into based on their pay scale; high, medium, and low. The partying people are the highest paying symbols, specifically, the man wearing the headphones and shades is the top symbol overall. At a $4 base bet, a cluster of five these guys will give your bet back and the wins increase from there up to $100 for clusters 13 or more. The medium tier is a yacht, disco ball, and bottle of champagne. Lastly, you have two different mixed drinks, a sparkly bikini top, and a headband that says “pump it up!” rounding out the bottom tier. These low paying symbols obviously have a much different range, starting at 20 cents for clusters of five matching symbols and bumping up to $6 for 13 or more clusters.
Multiplier Counter
While playing you will hopefully encounter a variety of multipliers. These multipliers are available as x2, x3, x5, x10, and an impressive x20. You are able to collect these multipliers if you land them alongside a cluster. Remember, clusters are created when at least five matching symbols are touching on at least one side. The multipliers do not need to be touching winning clusters, they just need to be on the reels. It is possible to land more than one multiplier at a time. Once the multiplier is counted, in the bar at the top of your screen, it is removed from play and will be replaced by a falling symbol.
In the base game, the multiplier resets after each spin. In the free spins, the bonus counter does not reset until the conclusion of the entire round.
Wild Appear Feature
During both the base game and free spins feature, keep your eyes out for the wild symbol! The wild makes an appearance as part of the “wild appear feature.”
This feature is triggered when you are lucky enough to score a cluster consisting of at least seven matching symbols. When these cluster symbols are removed, one glorious unicorn pool float will be added to the board. This unicorn floatie is now wild. The unicorn pool float will be randomly placed in one of the spaces left behind by the cluster.
Obviously, when clusters are the name of the game, this wild symbol helps out greatly when it comes to creating matching groups. The wild unicorn substitutes for all symbols with the exception of Multipliers and Scatters which we’ll be covering next.
Free Spins Feature
To score the free spins feature, you’re looking for three of the records to fall into place. If you’re playing with sound on, you will hear a deep voice announce the records every time they land on the screen- you obviously want him to say the full sentence “pump” plus “it” followed by “up.” These records can only land on reels one, three, and five.
When the scatter records are secured, you will launch into 10 free spins. If you just so happen to enter the bonus with a full meter, you will be granted an additional two free games at the start of the bonus round.
You are able to snag both the wild appear and multiplier counter feature within the bonus. During the Free Spins feature, your multiplier counter does not reset before each spin, allowing the free spins potential to grow with the multiplier.
While in the free spins, there is a unique addition to the reels called the “feature meter.” You can see four different meters around the perimeter of the reels that once filled, will start swapping out lower paying symbols for something a little more lucrative. The meters are filled by landing clusters of those high paying symbols that we talked about above. You need to land at least five matching party goers to form a cluster, then that cluster is counted. Each high paying symbol within that cluster is counted.
Level 1:
- You need four high paying symbols to fill and activate level one
- One random low or medium paying symbol will be swapped out for a high-paying symbol.
Level 2:
- You’re after eight high paying symbols to fill and activate level two
- Once ready to go, level two will convert two random low or medium paying symbols to a matching high paying symbol.
Level 3:
- Level requires 12 high paying symbols
- Once activated, level three will swap three low or medium paying symbols for a matching high paying symbol.
Level 4:
- Lastly, you will need to capture 16 high paying symbols to activate the fourth and final level.
- Unlike the other levels, for level four we’re talking about multipliers. When a winning high symbol cluster is formed, it is turned into an x1 multiplier. Those resulting multipliers are then added to the existing multiplier counter at the top of the screen. The total win is then multiplied by that number.
Buy a Bonus
