Casinos are one of those places where all sorts of things have their logos – pens, mugs, and of course the casino chips. So naturally these things, for some, become collectible items that they save for posterity and sometimes profit.
We asked visitors of our Flip The Switch Facebook page some of the things they’ve collected from casinos. Here are some of their answers:
- When they had those name coins for a $1. I have them from hotels I went to. Souvenir. Wonder their values as many of the hotels are gone and collectors items now I bet. Bonny B.
- ATM receipts. 🤣 Diane K.
- Back in Vegas hay day I collected the ashtrays with their name on it. Hilton was the best. But that was when I smoked. 25 years and counting since I quit! Mary V.
- Players Cards with lanyards. Brian H.
- Books of matches from casinos in Vegas. Brenda I.
- Shampoo and lotion 🤣 and at least one losing ticket. Wayne D.
- Shot glasses 🤣Deanna C.
- Matches lol We do outdoor fires, bbq, and have a wood stove in the house, so every useful thing helps! Dianna W.
- My friend always brings me back a $1 chip. Stacey R.
- Pens, matchboxes. Silvia C.
- Playing cards and sometimes shot glasses. Marilyn D.
- Poker chip, used decks of cards and players cards. Lori O.
- I have a box of $1 tokens. Barbara H.
- Chips… over 300 and counting. I started when there were less than 100 casinos in the US, figured I’d try to get them all…that dream has tragically died, as it’s totally unachievable. Jackpot J Slots
