Recently we asked readers of the Flip The Switch Facebook page what they do first after checking in to a casino hotel. There were a lot of different sorts of answers, but many led to the same final location:
- Of course we bring our bags up..then check the bed…turn the fridge on & go down to play the slots. After about 45 mins Mr. (doesn’t gamble) finds me & goes back to the room to watch TV & relax. I mosey back up sometime after.. Annette D.
- Fix a cocktail in the room and head down to play slots! Susan R.
- Hit the floor running!!! Honestly, I check out the toiletries first. Loretta S.
- In Vegas, go to Walmart. Anywhere else, check out the casino. Ursula W.
- Weirdly enough, I seem to do much better on the gaming floor if I take my time and not rush into it. Drop my bags off, get something to eat, maybe walk around a little. Then, walk in and find my second favorite machine. Once done on that head to my favorite machine and let the good times begin! Don’t ask my fave because that changes all the time! LOL Jack C.
- So… disinfect tv remote etc. and do the bedbug check. Cheryl H.
- Throw my bag in the room and hope it doesn’t break anything and head to the gambling floor! Mindy G.
- Unpack then go down to the casino. If I haven’t eaten yet, get a small lunch and hit the slots. Hopefully I win. Lol Faye I.
- Run to my favorite machine and order a drink. I don’t even unpack. Ellissa T.
- Adjust the temp in the room depending on how long im there unpack then down to the floor I go. Wendy S.
- Unpack, then straight to the bar for a drink. Find an open seat at a 3 card poker table or a good slot machine. Leaving for Vegas this Wednesday! Patti K.
- Well, now I guess I have to check my hotel room for scorpions! Karen C.
- Take a shower, get a shot, a beer, and ready to gamble! Kristine L.
- Once I have checked into my room I like to get something to eat if I am hungry as gambling on an empty stomach is no good. If I am not hungry I like to get water and a coke before hitting the casino floor. Benjamin B.
- Thorough bed bug hunt. Then crank up the AC. Mary C.
- Check comps and walk casino to see what slots winning. Amy Q.
- Freshen up and head to the rewards desk for offers. Mary M.
